I can’t believe that this is my last day in Italy.
I’ve completely fallen in love with every aspect of this country; its cuisine, culture & history are unparalleled. I’m so grateful to have been able to live here for the summer & I know that I’m gonna miss it like crazyyyy.
This journey was something I never knew I needed; it definitely knocked me out of my comfort zone at every turn, but I’m so glad that I went for it. Working overseas while acclimating to a completely different culture and language were some of the best learning opportunities I’ve ever had.
Every single week came with new adventures & obstacles that enriched my overall experience, and these are the moments that I am most thankful for. The difficult hikes, overnight bus rides, crammed hostel dorm rooms, and shitty continental breakfasts ALWAYS lead to the best views and most enlightening conversations. I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
I had the chance to revisit some of my favorite cities, explore a few new ones, practice my rusty Italian, eat THE best food that has ever graced my tastebuds, and meet so many amazing people along the way.
My experiences this summer have helped me grow into a better (& more patient) version of myself; now I’m even more determined to find a life path that makes adventure an absolute priority. I can’t put a date on it, but I know I’ll be back soon! Ci vediamo dopo (see you later), Italia!
